VISION AND VALUES
· Is
to advocate for the
rights and needs of individuals with
HIV/AIDS. To continue its
outreach
to the area, encouraging HIV testing for all
residents at risk for exposure, and offering prompt treatment and support for
those found seropositive.
· IAP
is dedicated to reducing stigma—a major barrier to accessing services,
especially for communities of color—and to outreach by
educating the general public
as to the causes, effects and treatment
of HIV/AIDS through work with schools, health agencies, and other
organizations.
· The
agency will work aggressively to build greater awareness of the availability of
programs and services for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
· IAP
will uphold the
strictest standards of accountability,
employing trained
staff members that are dedicated,
skilled, caring, and culturally and linguistically competent.
